Topic: What JESUS did (Resurrection Sunday)
Isaiah 53:11 KJV
He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
There are some things we need to know about JESUS' adventures and the significance in our lives.
Today we celebrate Jesus' resurrection all over the world, many do not understand the significance.
* Jesus, the Son of God became the son of man, that He might turn the sons of men into sons of God.
"John 3:16 KJV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
Virgin birth of Jesus, was a fulfillment of God's prophecy.
"Genesis 3:15 KJV
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel."
* Jesus was God in the form of man that He might destroy sin brought by first man in the image of God.
* Jesus lived in the flesh like everyone - To confirm that it's possible to live a sin-free life even in the flesh.
"Hebrews 4:15 KJV
For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without
sin."
He also did this, that He might be the perfect judge of the quick and the dead.
"Acts 10:42 KJV
And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead."
* Jesus died on the cross - He delivered us from the curse of the law.
"Galatians 3:13 KJV
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:"
* Jesus was buried and He rose the third day - to show that death in the body is not the end, the dead in Christ shall rise someday.
* Jesus ascended through the sky - He proved that the saints will be raptured someday.
Also to confirm that He's returning.
Hallelujah, everything Jesus did was symbolic.
He gave Himself that you may find yourself in Him.
Think about this, have benefited from His life and death?
Let's celebrate Jesus now and always, by responding to His sacrifices for us.
Prayers: Oh Lord Jesus, help me to respond whole heartedly to your sacrifice for me.
Happy resurrection Sunday!
