Topic: Apostolic priority (Apostolic Revival)
Acts 3:7-10 KJV
And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. [8] And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God. [9] And all the people saw him walking and praising God: [10] And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.
Apostle Peter commanded the lame man to walk in the name of Jesus, but the next verse says "he took him by the right and lifted him up"
The creative miracle began immediately he acted in faith, the bones were strengthened, he began to leap and walk, praising God. The miracle was not accidental or coincidental, but deliberate and intentional.
Why does Jesus do miracles when we call on Him?
He does it to glorify His name, so that many will believe on Him, and to confirm the words of His faithful witnesses.
We can see that it's all about Jesus not about us.
To perform miracle is not an issue when we are on the cause of the Master(Jesus).
Jesus did the miracle through Peter when a lot of people were there and they were all astonished and the result was great.
"Acts 3:11-12 KJV
And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon's, greatly wondering. [12] And when Peter saw it , he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?"
Apostle Peter, unlike many modernist preachers, quickly gave glory to God, and quickly seized the opportunity to preach, which was his priority.
People gathered, everyone that has been busy with other things earlier left it and came to see. As people gathered people, Apostle Peter didn't say bring more lame people tomorrow for an explosive healing service, but he preached Jesus expressly.
"Acts 3:13-14 KJV
The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go. [14] But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, ...."
Jesus only was the message, if you get this key, you will walk in the miraculous without stress inasmuch as you're preaching Jesus and turning many to righteousness.
"Acts 3:19-20 KJV
Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; [20] And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:"
When miracles are performed people rejoice, when a soul is won heaven rejoices, which is more rewarding?
So don't make performing miracles your priority, make soul winning your priority then the signs shall follow you.
Prayers: Oh Lord, help me to set my priorities right and take soul winning with urgency.
Equip and fortify me, for the mighty revival.l.
Remain blessed
