Topic: Apostolic manifestation I
Acts 1:1-2 KJV
The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, [2] Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:
The foundation of the Apostolic manifestation can still be traced to the kind of leadership of Christ.
To be able to raise passionate people who will carry a long lasting revival it's important that the teacher was exemplary.
Jesus didn't start with an empty head-knowledge teachings but he started by a practical lifestyle.
"Hebrews 13:12 KJV
Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate."
Jesus suffered that through Him, His followers can be sanctified.
The reason why we are not seeing revival in this present time is because many preachers are not practicing what they teach.
Do not mistake the social-media noise-making, rebellion or protest for revival, that's not revival it is confusion. Revival brings solution and not confusion.
Jesus did not just practice what He taught, but He taught what He practiced.
Many of us are not living up to the expected standard.
A consecrated life has been one of the secrets of revival pioneers.
Another thing is consistency, not hot today and cold tomorrow. From our text Jesus began and continued until He was taken up.
Our generation needs a revival, by fire that will burn off every evil manifestation. The Lord needs us to consecrate ourselves to this effect, God is still in search of a man.
"Ezekiel 22:30 KJV
And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none."
May the land not suffer destruction under my watch.
Prayer: Oh Lord help me to live a life of total consecration to you, and make me the solution to the need for revival in my time in Jesus name.
Remain blessed
Let's go back to the days of the Apostles when leaders were consecrated and followers were revived and the gospel prospered. Omoloye A A.
In the words of Charles Hudson Spurgeon, give me 100 Preachers who fear nothing but sin and desire nothing but God and these would turn the present day World upside down.
ReplyDeleteIronically, our present day preachers are 1000 but these embrace sin and rebel against God, we can but pray that God would remember mercy when His sledge of wrath is going to fall on the Church.
This is great revelation.
Thank you for sharing Pastor Abiola!
hunmmm ... very true, may God help us. Thanks very much Pastor. Tosan.
