Topic: Signs and wonders II (Apostolic revival)
Acts 3:3-6 KJV
Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms. [4] And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us. [5] And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them. [6] Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
The Apostles were filled with the Holy Ghost and they moved with boldness and courage. In the past, the fear of how to heal the sick made them to raise questions like, who did sin?
But at the incidence of the Holy Spirit every fear disappeared. The earlier verse before our text indicated something notable;
"Acts 3:2 KJV
And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;"
We can see from here that, the man has been there definitely since Jesus' lifetime in the body, why has he not been healed?
Jesus promised a greater manifestation, if Jesus had done everything, what would be left for the Apostles to do?
"John 14:12 KJV
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father."
Jesus healed a man that was born blind, the Apostles healed a man that was born lame, that was a physical, or creative miracle. I can imagine the bones fattening up, increasing in length and straightened, and everyone marveled and glorified God through Jesus, whose name does wonders.
God left these opportunities to perform signs and wonders for us so that people will believe in the name of Jesus.
"John 4:48 KJV
Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe."
Do not mistake the purpose of miracles for personal elevation, it's to glorify God. When God does wonders in His name through you, make sure you speedily call people to Him. I will share some testimonies tomorrow, to strengthen our minds for the Apostolic manifestation.
Prayers: Oh Lord, equip and fortify me, for the mighty revival.
Remain blessed
