Topic: Apostolic revival II
Acts 1:6-7 KJV
When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? [7] And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
Another key attribute of revival pioneers is total submissiveness.
From our text, we can see a high but carnal expectation the Apostles. They where expecting a physical restoration and freedom of Jerusalem from the Roman authorities, but immediately Jesus redirected their minds they submitted.
It's obvious that things were not so rosy for them in the world, that they had to go back into fishing until Jesus stopped them.
"John 21:3 KJV
Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing."
So they needed that physical restoration to make their lives better physically. At Jesus's correction they neglected their personal desire for comfort, and the result was a great revival that turned the entire world upside down.
The world has not recovered from the Apostolic revival, but our heart yearns for more.
How submissive are you to the will of God?
Many people God would have used mightily have gone materialistic, and lost the glorious call of God.
Prayer: Oh Lord help me to be totally submissive to you, and make me qualified for the revival in my time in Jesus name.
Remain blessed
Let's go back to the days of the Apostles when leaders were not materialistic but were totally submissive to God's will. Omoloye A A
