Topic: Deceptive giving (Apostolic Revival)
Acts 5:1-6 KJV
But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession, [2] And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it , and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet. [3] But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? [4] Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God. [5] And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things. [6] And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him .
The chapter starts with a "but" meaning something contrary to what has been explained earlier.
The earlier chapter explained how people gave their possessions selflessly and willingly, but a family just appeared here who gave selfishly and got a terrible outcome.
Giving in deception, without a sincerity of heart is a terrible thing before God. They probably believed they were just giving to men, just as many people think nowadays. So they lied, unfortunately not to men but to the Holy Ghost.
"Matthew 12:31 KJV
Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men."

It was indeed a bad end for them, may we not blaspheme or sin against the Holy Ghost in Jesus name.
The kind of giving God appreciates is that of a pure heart, not giving with contention. No one asked the Apostles what was their distribution proportions. They gave out of a pure heart.
"Titus 1:15 KJV
Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled."
Cain gave as well as Abel, but Cain and his offerings were not respected by God.

"Genesis 4:5 KJV
But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell."

The Lord will help us to always give with a pure heart in Jesus name.
"2 Corinthians 9:7 KJV
Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give ; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver."

Prayers: Oh Lord Jesus, give me the grace to always give with a pure heart,
equip and fortify me, for the mighty revival.
equip and fortify me, for the mighty revival.
Remain blessed
"if you have problems about giving your finance to God, then probably haven't given your heart to Him, nothing will be too much to give to someone you've given your heart."
