Topic:Thrones.
Hebrews 4:16 KJV
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Throne is a seat of authority, where decisions are been finalized. In heaven we have several thrones one of which we have in our text, "throne of grace" and obviously we also have the throne of judgement, these are the two I will like us to consider.
"Daniel 7:9 KJV
I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire."
The throne of grace was put in place to meet our needs while here on earth. It made available for the unsaved to be saved and for the saved to be holy, that we might not be condemned at the next throne. To embrace the grace of God is a choice but the consequences are not by choice. Just like anyone might to be lawless but when apprehended he has no choice over the penalties. When Jesus is on the throne of grace He calls men to repentance, but when he mounts the next throne there'll be no more mercy.
"James 2:13 KJV
For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment."
This next throne is the throne of judgement, God as a righteous and just judge, now without mercy. Everyone who turns down the grace and love of God can not turn down His judgement.
It time for us be tutored by grace
"Titus 2:11-12 KJV
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, [12] Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;"
May we be humble to learn from the grace of God.
Prayer: Oh Lord may I not despise your grace in Jesus name.Amen.
Remain blessed
