1 Corinthians 13:3 KJV
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor , and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
There's a lot of misconceptions about what love is, giving to the poor does not indicate love.
Our text today makes us know that it is possible to give all of one's goods to the poor yet lacking love. This makes us know that true love comes from within not by mere activities.
Politicians give gifts to people, it doesn't mean they love. Every love involves giving, but not every kind of giving is love
Love is a fruit of the Spirit, so it comes by the Holy Spirit and not by instincts neither is it hereditary. Anyone could have the natural habit of liberality, that doesn't mean he was born with "Love" as a fruit of the Spirit.
Love is deeper than these activities. Love is knowing God, because God is love.
"1 Peter 3:8-9 KJV
Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: [9] Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing."
To love as brethren means to mind other people's affairs and not being concerned about yourself alone.

Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others."
You can give to the poor and take glory in it, do you feed their soul with the gospel ?
Do you mind things of other people, when there's no glory to take

May the Lord help us to show true love from our hearts always.
