Topic: Sacrifice for manifestation 1
Mark 9:28-29 KJV
And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out? [29] And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.
"In the days of old, Lord send thy power as in the days of old"
"They were in an upper chamber,
They were all with one accord,
When the Holy Ghost descended
As was promised by the Lord.
Refrain:
O Lord, send the pow’r just now,
O Lord, send the pow’r just now;
O Lord, send the pow’r just now
And baptize every one.
Yes, the pow’r from Heav’n descended
With the sound of rushing wind;
Tongues of fire came down upon them,
As the Lord said He would send.
Yes, this old-time pow’r was given
To our fathers who were true;
This is promised to believers,
And we all may have it too."
This is a wonderful hymn that reflects what the Lord did through the early Christians and indicates the what the modern days christians desire.
Unfortunately the modern days christians are not willing to pay the sacrifice the people of old paid, we're only all over social media making irrelevant noises.
"Being a Christian is more than just an instantaneous conversion - it is a daily process whereby you grow to be more and more like Christ." (Billy Graham)
If you're not becoming like Christ, you're not a Christian.
Lazy followers can not manifest the power of God. If you cannot deny yourself of the pleasures of life just to seek God, then, just like Gehazi you cannot possess power.
"2 Kings 5:26-27 KJV
And he said unto him, Went not mine heart with thee , when the man turned again from his chariot to meet thee? Is it a time to receive money, and to receive garments, and oliveyards, and vineyards, and sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and maidservants? [27] The leprosy therefore of Naaman shall cleave unto thee, and unto thy seed for ever. And he went out from his presence a leper as white as snow."
From that text Jesus made His disciples know, clearly that "you can't cast out demons in gluttony, but by fasting and prayers. There's an urgent need in the kingdom for great manifestation that will produce great harvest of souls.
Prayer: Father help me to seek you with my whole heart like the early Christians.
Remain blessed
"Being a Christian is more than just an instantaneous conversion - it is a daily process whereby you grow to be more and more like Christ." ( celebrating the departure of one of God's Generals, Billy Graham)
