Topic: Conform or transform
Romans 12:2 KJV
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Conformity means compliance to set standards. Our text today makes clear to us what God demands from us. We are not to conform, many christians are not standing out for God because they want to be accepted by everyone, there they conform to the world.
Transformation on the other hand is a complete change in form or nature, this is what God demands of us all as Christians.
"2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
When a dog for instance turns to God it becomes a sheep not a washed or clean dog. Conformity makes a dog to behave like a sheep(hypocrisy), but being in Christ brings the real change.
So our conformity comes after our transformation, when we are transformed our hearts can easily conform to God's will without hypocrisy.
Our transformation comes by the renewal of our mind, through the word of God. By so doing we can please God completely.

Prayer: Father help me not to conform with the world but to be totally transformed by your word.
Remain blessed
