Topic: Overcoming oppression.
Acts 2:42-44 KJV
And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. [43] And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. [44] And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
Fellowship is a vital part of Christianity, Jesus emphasized it.
This is the secret of complete manifestation as sons of God. This is what we need now in this present age. We can see from our text, how God did exploits through the apostles, by their consistency in fellowship.
They were steadfast in the apostles' doctrine, there was neither division nor contention in their midst.
Breaking of bread and prayers, this simply means they were constantly putting the death of our Lord Jesus in remembrance, as He instructed us. "Luke 22:19 KJV
And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it , and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me."
If all these are in place christians will no longer fear oppression, rather oppressors will fear them, miracles will increase and everyone will be comfortable.
