Topic: King's meat 2.
Daniel 2:48 KJV
Then the king made Daniel a great man, and gave him many great gifts, and made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon, and chief of the governors over all the wise men of Babylon.
Beware of the king and his offer. What is the king of this world offering you to take away your steadfastness and pledged allegiance to the king of glory?
"Matthew 4:8-9 KJV
Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; [9] And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me."
Many have fallen to worship Satan for the good of the world, the same temptation Jesus turned down.
Have you ever wondered if Daniel actually bowed to the king's statue of gold, or why was he not cast into the fairy furnace with the three?
Daniel wouldn't have bowed to the statue not for the fear of anyone. Daniel escaped the temptation of needing to bow to the king's statue because he turned down the "king's offer" From our text we can see the king's offer the next verse we can see Daniel's response
"Daniel 2:49 KJV
Then Daniel requested of the king, and he set Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, over the affairs of the province of Babylon: but Daniel sat in the gate of the king."
So these three that took that offer were at the forefront of the temptation while Daniel was at the gate.
The king's offer is a doorway to temptation and sin. If you take the king's offer you might not escape the temptation and you may not live to tell the story.
What is your king's offer?
Think and look around you, in your office, in your campuses, in your neighborhood etc.
Satan is the king of this world, flee his offer and preserve your soul.
Prayer: Lord I receive the grace to reject every king's meat set for my destruction in Jesus name.Amen.
Remain blessed
