Topic: Capturing the Thief
John 10:7, 9-10 KJV
Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Jesus in His teaching analysed the duty or the agenda of the devil, by first naming him by his personality"THIEF". " From definition, a thief is a person who steals another person's property, especially by stealth and without using force or threat of violence" This is what Jesus, the all knowing God, called the devil. He comes to steal, to kill and to destroy someone's life without using force or threat of violence.
what is killing you politely?
what is destroying you without a threat of violence?
That's SIN, the thief's device of destruction. Is yours lust? pornography? masturbation? immorality? drunkenness? Anger? Malice?
The scripture warns us not against the devil's devices "2 Corinthians 2:11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices." That's the only way we can capture this thief, trash down his devices. SIN mostly comes with pleasure so it's a way the thief uses to carry out his 3 fold agenda with using force or threat of violence. Your enemy that appears with a gun to kill you is safer than the one that appeared with a poisoned Delicious meal, in any case to kill is their mission.
Jesus gave us confidence, He has defeated the enemy "1 John 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil." So enter by that door, JESUS, capture the thief and be victorious.
Prayer: Oh Lord, I capture the thief killing me secretly and defeat him totally by the blood of Jesus.
Remain blessed
