Topic: Respect Mr. President
Romans 13:1-2 KJV
Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. [2] Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
As one of the signs of the end time, rebellion is on the rise. We see people protest against leadership, insulting their presidents. Much more it has gotten to the extent of disregarding even the ordinances of God, people speak ill of the priests, that serves before God's alter.
You see through news on daily basis, you'll see people unthankful and rebellious. "2 Timothy 3:1-2 KJV
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. [2] For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,"
God expects us, as His children, to be thankful to Him and regard His ordinances. Every leader in position according to what scripture says, was appointed by God, so we must regard them.
If we rebel, we are resist the ordinance of God, thereby incurring damnation on ourselves.
We can say, but they are making bad policies, things are difficult for people under their leadership and they are not fulfilling their promises. All these are not enough reason, to go against God ordinance. For You to prosper in the land, you have to regard God's ordinance, the people He placed in power. "Isaiah 1:19-20 KJV
If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: [20] But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it ."
The Lord gave me this revelation that, the government you curse or rebel against can't bless you, so you'll decide your own blessing yourself.
So decide in your heart to start co-operating with the government and pray for the leaders from today and see a new dimension of God's blessings.
"1 Timothy 2:1-2 KJV
I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; [2] For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty."
