Topic: In the Spirit
Ephesians 6:18 KJV
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Every prayer prayed in line with the will of God receives answer. "John 14:13-14 KJV
And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. [14] If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it."
What we ask will be done to the glory of the father, that means it's to the father's glory.
If we can pray in the will of God we will get our answers "1 John 5:14 KJV
And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:"
How then can we pray the will of God?
It is by first knowing His will, then we can pray it.
"1 Corinthians 2:10-11 KJV
But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. [11] For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God."
This is where we have the importance of praying in the Spirit. Being in the Spirit is not merely speaking in tongues, it means to be purged, cleansed and prepared for the Lord's use. "2 Timothy 2:21 KJV
If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work."
A filthy person can not be said to be in the Spirit. The early Christians did a lot of wonders because they were constantly in the spirit, no down time. This is what the Lord demands of us now. May God help us in Jesus' name.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, help me to constantly walk in the Spirit without a down time.
Remain blessed
