Herald of maranatha: daily devotional
Topic: Perfect preservation
Psalm 121:7-8 KJV
The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. [8] The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
Preservation means to keep and maintain in the original state.
An unfortunate and unbelievable accident video recently took over the social media It happened just in the city where I live, few moment after i passed the same area. It was very terrible that none of the victims could have been able to dodge it, they were innocently waiting to use the pedestrian crossing, when the vehicle went to crush them, some died on the spot and others were hospitalised.
Some public speakers ignorantly said it's an act of being religious to pray before and after our journeys.
A lot of people take several measures to ensure their preservation, like building well fortified houses to prevent them from being attacked, but death does not need a physical door to come in, rich men have died of heart attacks or some other unbelievable incidents. Efforts of man have failed in providing a perfect preservation, for the body and soul. If money could by a perfect preservation of lives the rich won't die.
The Lord is true to His words, He promises to preserve us from all evil and to preserve our souls. Preservation from all evil includes untimely death, sicknesses, accidents, natural disasters, failures, any evil you can think of including sin. All we need is to trust in Jesus for all manner of preservation.
Ephesians 5:16 KJV
Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
We need to commit our daily activities unto God in prayers for a perfect preservation.
Prayer: Lord help me to trust in you for the perfect preservation of my spirit, soul and body in Jesus' name.
I break every appointment with death in Jesus' name.
Remain blessed.
